BRITISH ILL-TREATIENT OF EURASIONS Hongkong: British ill-treatment of Eurasians and Malayans of British nationality, who fled from Hongkong to Macao on British assurances of protection, has been exposed by an Eurasian in the "Hongkong News", published in Macao. Before war broke out, Eurasians of British nationality were assured of the protection of the British authorities wherever they went, and it was on this assurance that they went from Hongkong to Macao when war started. But the British authorities in Macao' have virtually ignored the presence of these Eurasians and Malayans and have mercilessly turned down all their ples for aid. The British will not even give a meal to these unfortunate people, some of them starving, whereas the British are accorded full and adequate protection. The writer. also revealed that the British authorities brought pressure to bear on the Macao police to force them to suppress the Eurasian protest demonstration before the British Consulate.
